HTK a double winner at ICT Excellence Awards 2010

29 Nov 2010

HTK beat off stiff competition to win two coveted accolades at this year’s ICT Excellence Awards; Strategic Business Improvement and Software as a Service.

HTK’s Strategic Business Improvement award recognises its success in transforming from a software solutions company to an agile Software as a Service (SaaS) business; while its innovative Horizon platform won recognition as the winner in the best Software as a Service category.

HTK Horizon represents a "micro-targeted" approach to customer interaction and is already used by police forces, utility companies, local councils and leading telecom service providers. Horizon seamlessly integrates customer data (CRM) with a wide range of inbound and outbound communication technologies, including interactive voice response (IVR), SMS & MMS mobile messaging, email and web sites as well as fax, pager and social media channels, to provide a highly personalised customer experience.

As a web-based platform, HTK Horizon offers market-leading customer service and marketing automation at a fraction of the cost of traditionally-installed software and systems.

The Strategic Business Improvement and Software as a Service titles were presented to HTK by sponsors Bridging the Opportunity Gap, an ICT Cluster initiative, and Digital KTN respectively. The awards presentation took place at a prestigious evening awards ceremony, following the annual ICT conference organised by the ICT Cluster, on 25th November at the National Motorcycle Museum in Bickenhill, Solihull.

Marlon Bowser, CEO at HTK, said: “This was a prestigious event so being named a winner of two awards is a true honour. Winning these awards is the highest level of recognition and testament to the hard work and extraordinary accomplishments of everyone at HTK, validating that we’re doing the right things in the right way. Customers want to do business with successful organisations, and these two award wins are evidence of our continuing commitment in leading the field.”

Mike Musson, ICT Cluster Manager, comments: “The ICT Excellence Awards are a positive indication of the number of pioneering and entrepreneurial companies in the region. They also demonstrate that small businesses are just as capable as larger organisations of being innovative and developing truly great products and services so the judging process has been rigorous.  The panels were impressed by both the quality of the candidates and volume of entries. The award winners should be in no doubt that their excellence not only does them credit, but is indicative of the technology advances that companies across the UK have to offer.”

The Annual ICT Excellence Awards were established in 2005, aiming to showcase successful and innovative ICT companies and public sector organisations, of all types and sizes, while providing recognition of their teams’ hard work and commitment.
